Pre 2019 Each polygon was captured as a DGN file (Microstation v7 and v8) and converted to GIS format using ArcGIS 10.2.1 and FME Workbench. Each polygon was drawn as the extent of the declared beneficial uses area for the declaration process, rather than the gazettal information. There were several inconsistencies regarding the datum and coordinates used to describe the declared areas. Therefore, a decision was made by the custodians involved in the declaration process in 2010 to use the boundary on the map rather than the descriptive information found in the declared gazette.
