Description
An index of satellite images owned by the Northern Territory University. The index is composed of four seperate themes for each platform that collected the data. The earth observing platforms are: Landsat Multispectral Scanner (MSS), Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM), Spot satellite systems (SPOT) & Radar (Airsat, RadarSat & SIR-C).
This is an application dependant dataset, which forms part of the database for the NT Oil Spill Response Atlas (OSRA). The NT OSRA initiative is administered by the Department of Lands, Planning & Environment, however the responsibility for the maintenance of the source data, remains with the relevant custodian.

This index of images was compiled by Research Associate Mark Duffett in the course of a project on NT saltwater crocodile nesting habitat. All images are stored in the archive of the GIS and remote sensing group, building 18 Cas. of NTU.
