Description

Abstract:

Volumetric soil water data have been collected to depth 3.5 m over several wet-dry cycle for soils of the Howard River Catchment.

Soil type is a red kandosol, well drained sandy loam overlying ferricreted impermeable layer at 1.5-2 m depth. Sub-soil is a sandy clay-loam to clay-loam. Gravell contnent ranges from 20-50% by volume. Supports tall open Euclaypt forest type.

Other measures include saturated hydraulic conductivity, water release data (limited), profile descriptions and textural class profilies.
