The geochemical dataset consists of major elemental oxides, trace and rare earth element abundances where available. Exploration data is extracted from legacy hardcopy reports by scanning and digitizing, including spatial data capture from maps where necessary.

Legacy data capture from company reports is ongoing within NTGS. More recent exploration reports and data have been supplied in digital formats and are uploaded directly into a SQL Server database after transcription to a standard loading template. NTGS collected rock samples are primarily whole rock geochemical analyses.

NTGS undertake QA/QC on NTGS collected samples involving assessing precision and accuracy of techniques through internationally recognised standard reference materials and NTGS in-house standards, including the identification of duplicates and blanks. All data is transferred into a SQL Server database.
