Description
This polygon spatial dataset describes the ecological subregions of four of the Northern Territory Ecological Regions: Pine Creek, Daly Basin, Arnhem Plateau and Central Arnhem; it is based on regional geomorphology with the intention to incorporate additional ecological themes as part of its further development.
The dataset was derived by digitising regional boundaries interpreted on Basemap World Imagery and Google Earth.
The data provides a basis for the Level 2- Subregions mapping for the REALM (Regional Ecosystems and Landscape Mapping) project.

Data Quality
Lineage:The regional and subregional boundaries have been interpreted from legacy land system mapping at 1:250 000.
Positional Accuracy:POLYGON DATA
Data stored in geographic coordinates using horizontal datum GDA94. The polygon boundary for each zone is combined and updated into a Northern Territory dataset using and ESRI ArcGIS Pro file geo-database.
Attribute Accuracy:All polygons attributed using the data dictionary.
Logical Consistency:All polygons are closed and labelled using the prescribed data dictionary
