Abstract:

This is a polygon spatial dataset displaying statutory weed areas either for a quarantine area or designated area within a statutory weed management plan.
Information is provided for general guidance only. Refer to each weed species weed management plan for detailed statutory requirements for each area.
Weeds species included in this dataset are athel pine, cabomba, and siam weed.

Data Quality

Lineage:Each polygon was drawn using a GIS (ArcGIS Pro) against the corresponding Northern Territory Government Gazettal description, usually following cadastral boundaries.
When an update to an area or management plan is declared (NTG gazette), the polygon and its attributes are updated as required, including web links to documents stored in the Territory Stories (territorystories.nt.gov.au).

Positional Accuracy:NA

Attribute Accuracy:Attribute information is correct at the time of publishing but is subject to change with amendments to statutory plans or declaration status.

Logical Consistency:Polygon extents for each weed area is merged into a single dataset and polygons will overlap. Each polygon has a label with descriptive attributes.

Completeness:Attribute information is correct at the time of publishing. The areas are subject to change by statutory instrument. This metadata record and the associated spatial data will reflect any changes.
