Description

Abstract:

Polygon data presenting overall biodiversity values in the Greater Weddell subregion.

Biodiversity values across the study area include sensitive and/or significant vegetation communities and threatened and significant flora and fauna. These values were identified and assessed to derive and map overall biodiversity values across the study area.

Broadly delineated areas of high value for threatened mammals and priority conservation areas for Typhonium praetermissum are also presented in the datasets:
- Typhonium praetermissum Priority Conservation Areas in the Greater Weddell Subregion, 2025 (http://www.ntlis.nt.gov.au/metadata/export_data?type=html&metadata_id=34AF242C521E4921E0632144CD9B62EE )
- High Value Habitat for Threatened Mammals in the Greater Weddell Subregion, 2025 (http://www.ntlis.nt.gov.au/metadata/export_data?type=html&metadata_id=34AD962B2D57EB9EE0632144CD9B130B )

Produced as part of the biodiversity assessment of the Greater Weddell subregion, 2025.
The biodiversity assessment study area covers approximately 39,422 ha and is located approximately 13 km south of Darwin.

Further details are provided in the report listed in Supplementary Information.

Positional Accuracy:

Attribute Accuracy:Attribute values are assigned to each polygon and described in the Data Dictionary below

Logical Consistency:GIS editing tools were used to rectify all overshoots and undershoots in line work. Polygon topology rules applied: must not overlap, must not have gaps and each polygon has only one label.

Completeness:Completed.
