Description
The layer represents geoscientific products published and released by the Northern Territory Geological Survey (NTGS) currently available for public discovery and download through Geoscience Exploration and Mining Information System (GEMIS, http://geoscience.nt.gov.au/gemis). This layer supports the Survey's strategic vision to acquire and promote new precompetitive geoscience information to stimulate exploration through improved online delivery of information and data.
This layer spans the entire Northern Territory and belongs as an entity within the geographic information system that underpins STRIKE. This layer is a result of combining Products Information to a spatial location element to enable end users to discover what Products are available at a particular location of interest.

Access Constraint:This layer represents only products which have been published and made public via notification on the NT website and currently available in GEMIS for public discovery and download. All attribution is public information. This layer is available within STRIKE.
The NTGS Product Catalog Index is not available for public download, however the individual products listed in the index are available to download from the GEMIS website.
Attribution available in the STRIKE data tab or results pane can be exported into Microsoft Excel or CSV format. The map window that shows this layer is available to export as a georeferenced jpg or png through STRIKE's export map function. This layer is also as PDF print outputs.
Data Quality
Lineage:The layer is produced by combining non spatial descriptive metadata in relation to Products (the Products Catalogue). This layer categorises Products based on their collections, as defined by the Catalogue's custodian, the NTGS Minerals InfoCentre. These collections are Digital Information Packages, Geophysical and Remote Sensing Data, HyLogger Data, Maps and Explanatory Notes and Reports, Records and Books.
Each Product Catalogue item contains a non spatial element that relates to a spatial location element. Using an extract, load and transform process, each non spatial location element is assigned a spatial location element to represent each product as a spatial feature on a map window. Each item is represented on the map window by uniquely assigning symbolisation to each collection.
In addition, each Product Catalogue item has unique identifier which is recorded in GEMIS. The matching of this unique identifier enables users to navigate to GEMIS and review additional product information and download the product online.
Positional Accuracy:The spatial location element is not unique to this layer and they have been adopted from other spatial sources available in STRIKE. Please refer to this list under Completeness and the corresponding metadata record for each STRIKE layer for exact information.
Attribute Accuracy:The Products Catalogue and GEMIS is managed through defined information management practices within the NTGS Minerals Infocentre and additional quality control within the underlying geographic information system for STRIKE.
Logical Consistency:Spatial elements sourced from other layers are quality controlled as part of data management processes at the time of creation, review and update and additional quality control within the underling geographic information system for STRIKE. All elements are OGC simple features compliant.

1) HyLogger Data, spatial element - Drillhole collar location (sourced from Drillholes Layer) plus a 1 kilometer buffered area,
