The survey area of approximately 3,800 km2 is located approximately 274km south west of Alice Springs via the Stuart Highway. The original field survey was undertaken in 2001-2002 at a mapping scale of 1:100,000. Core attributes describing the land units, as defined by this department, were added to the spatial dataset in September 2014.
