The survey area of 3,257 km2 is located approximately 100km south of Alice Springs via the Stuart Highway. The Land Type descriptions were hand written during a land resource survey of Maryvale Station in the early 1980s, probably at a similar time a land resource survey was undertaken on the adjoining Orange Creek Station. The descriptions are the only information currently available. It is unknown whether the descriptions were draft or finalised. Given no site soil-landscape or vegetation field records from this survey have been located, and a technical report was not published, it should be assumed the information is DRAFT. The Maryvale Station land type descriptions only contain short geological and geomorphic descriptions.
