Description

Abstract:

This dataset shows the extent of the Daly-Roper groundwater/surface water model (version 2) known as DR2 (Knapton 2020). DR2 extent covers an area of 196,000 km2 extending across the southern Daly Basin to the southern Georgian Basin and west into the northern Wiso Basin. The numerical groundwater component of the model has been developed using FEFLOW (v7.2.5) and DHI MIKE SHE (2016) code, while the surface water component has been developed using the MIKE11 1D code. The following HSUs was incorporated into the model: Creatceous sediments, CLA (Montejinni Limestone) and Antrium Plateau Volcanics/Roper River Group basement. The model has been calibrated to the groundwater level and streamflow gauging measurements where the CLA discharges, to riverine systems.

Data Quality

Lineage:This dataset was produced from the FEFLOW groundwater model mesh using ArcMap 10.6.1 software.

Positional Accuracy:The boundary is based upon a triangulated mesh generated using boundaries of the Georgina and Wiso Geological Basins, the Cambrian Limestone Aquifers and the Cretaceous sediments of the Murrawal Plateau

Attribute Accuracy:The attribute information conforms to a standard SREBA Groundwater template. The template ensures consistent information is recorded and displayed on any platform.

Logical Consistency:Data of similar type have the same attribute structure. GIS editing tools were used to check for topology rules. Known topology issues have been identified and will be address in future updates.

Completeness:Complete
