Description

Abstract:

Areas of outstanding and high ecological value within the Study Area were identified, and associated spatial data were compiled.

The spatial data include: point data representing refugia, springs and locations where significant flora have been recorded (Springs_Refugia_SignificantFlora); polyline data representing perennial mapped streams (AHGHFMappedStream_SREBArefugia), polygon data of a selection of broad vegetation groups (SREBA_veg_100_Selection); and polygon data delineating two outstanding environmental value areas (OutstandingEnvironmentalValuesAreas).

Further information is provided in Section 10.2.1 of the Beetaloo SREBA Regional Report.

Data Quality

Lineage:Areas of outstanding and high biodiversity values were identified based on information within Beetaloo SREBA study domain reports including water quality and quantity, aquatic ecosystems and terrestrial ecosystems. Spatial data associated with the identified values were compiled, primarily from SREBA Beetaloo Aquatic Ecosystems (http://www.ntlis.nt.gov.au/metadata/export_data?type=html&metadata_id=F43B2402CFA56CE7E0532144CD9B65EF) and SREBA Beetaloo Vegetation Map (www.ntlis.nt.gov.au/metadata/export_data?type=html&metadata_id=F2E40C7CAE6D0C61E0532144CD9B7350).

Positional Accuracy:Original mapping upon which this dataset is informed by, is based various sources including Landsat data with a pixel resolution of 30 m x 30 m and rectified Sentinel-2 image data provided by QDES with a geometric accuracy of less than 12.5 m (ESA, 2015). The spatial data is relevant to a scale of 1:100,000.

Attribute Accuracy:Attribute values are described in the Data Dictionary below.

Logical Consistency:

Completeness:Version 1 of this spatial dataset is considered complete. If amendments are made to this dataset, a new version will be released.
