Accuracy is dependent on the report quality.0Most of the source data is from seismic survey reports and datasets submitted to NTGS by petroleum exploration companies. Lines from seismic surveys undertaken by government (Geoscience Australia and predecessors), NTGS and mineral exploration companies are also included. Data capture commenced in 2008 with minimal attribution and only 5 surveys added. All known survey lines with data of sufficient quality for mapping were added in 2011. As more data has become available additional surveys have been progressively added. Current attribution added in March 2017.
