Data Quality
Lineage:The Department of Transport and Works once maintained airstrips. That responsibility has now been passed to property owners and communities. T&W no longer maintain remote airstrips.
Positional Accuracy:Database has GPS co-ordinates in WGS84 format. Some exists in this format, however the bulk of the data is referenced by a linear referencing system using Permanent Reference Points (PRP) and Distance.
Attribute Accuracy:5-10m for Linear reference.
Logical Consistency:DB2 business rules and error correction ensure consistant data collected.
Completeness:Covers the Northern Territory and includes all airstrips maintained between 1990 and 1994
