Attributes assigned according to the dominant feature. For example, where ten sites have been grouped to describe a particular map unit and two different soils described from these sites then the dominant soil is chosen. The department has assigned a list of core attribute values, described in the Data Dictionary below, to each polygon.
The attribute naming format uses 10 characters with no spaces to be suitable for an ESRI shape-file format.
