History/Origin	Incorrectly named after the 1880s copper mine Wheal Danks which was in the area. The name Whaeldanks Creek is first shown on Surveyor CG Chapman's July 1913 plan (CP439) of "Road Traverse of Brock's Creek Road" (sic from Daly River).
