History/Origin	Named after the original name prior to 1975 of Belyuen on the Cox Peninsula which is home to many Larrakia people. Delissaville is named after B C De Lissa who started the Territory's first sugar plantation on a large tract of land on Cox Peninsula in 1880. By 1881 the plantation had an elaborate crushing mill with 70 to 80 staff. However problems arose after the first disastrous crushing operation using old sugar from the botanical gardens. The company was wound up in 1885 having crushed only 12 tons of sugar in its 5 year operation.
