History/Origin | This Suburb is named in commemoration of Anne Pascoe Lansdowne (nee Dalkin) (1909 - 1973) - Landlord of the "Mine Host" Hotel at Knotts Crossing, Katherine from the mid-50s to 1973 and Frank Lansdowne (1907 - 1989) who worked with CSIRO to develop plant and animal breeds suitable for the Top End; co-owners of Kumbidgee Station brahman stud.
