| History/Origin | Dripstone Secondary College is named after the nearby Dripstone Caves, which were first recorded on George Woodroffe Goyder's early survey plans of Port Darwin in 1869 when his surveying expedition mapped the Darwin area for settlement. The school originally opened as Dripstone High School in 1980. From 2006, the school transitioned to a middle school providing education for Years 7 to 9 and was renamed Dripstone Middle School in 2008. In 2026, the school again provided senior secondary education and the name changed to Dripstone Secondary College. |
