Bree Street is named in commemoration of James (Gerry) (1912-2006) and Mary (May) (1923-2004) Bree. Originally from Ireland, they arrived in Darwin in the 1990?s from Brisbane to be nearer their children, settling in Durack. Both became and continued to be active members of the Palmerston community until their deaths. |
