History/Origin Named after Ron Beekman, an engineer who was instrumental in major civil infrastructure projects across the Northern Territory and a great mentor to young engineers. He was also an advocate of training and up-skilling of employees in civil construction and engineering.

Beekman Bridge is the road bridge over the inbound lanes of Tiger Brennan Drive.
