Named after William Crosby (also known as Bill or Bing) who moved to Katherine with his family in 1946. Employed with the Department of Civil Aviation, William maintained the Katherine Airport. He was also the local barber. William raised his children in Katherine and was a strong member of the local community and school committees. |
