| History/Origin |
Named in commemoration of Private Isaac Turner, who worked in Darwin as a labourer before enlisting in the Australian Imperial Force in 1916 at the age of 21. Private Turner was wounded in 1917 and again on 1 June 1918. He re-joined his Battalion on 22 June 1918, and was killed in action in September 1918. |
