History/Origin	Named after William Charles George Milton, who was granted title to the area, where the road is situated, in 1916 by Administrator Gilruth. A portion of this was named Milton Road in 1983. In 2011, it was determined that as a larger extent of the road is locally referred to as Milton Road, the original Gazettal should be revoked and the whole road be named Milton Road.
