History/Origin Named after Sister Hyacinth Lenehan, one of the five pioneering Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart who arrived in Darwin in 1908. She helped start the first Catholic School in the Northern Territory, St Joseph's, which was later renamed St Mary's. She is considered a pioneer in Catholic education.
