| History/Origin |
Named after the T-28 Trojan, a piston-engine military trainer aircraft used by the United States Air Force and the United States Navy in the 1950's. Besides its use as a trainer, the T-28 Trojan was successfully employed as a Counter-insurgency aircraft, primarily during the Vietnam War. |
