| History/Origin |
Named after Donna Maira Isabella Dreier, a Solicitor for the Northern Territory in 1989. She went on to become the Director of Litigation in 1991. During her time in government practice she introduced time costing for public lawyers. She went into private practice and became a partner with the firm Cridlands between 1998 and 2003. In 2003, she returned to be Department of Justice as Executive Director of Legal Services and held that position until her death in 2008. She also held various offices within the Law Society of the Northern Territory. Donna was an outstanding mentor to a generation of junior practitioners. |
