| History/Origin |
Named after Michael Spargo who came to Darwin to undertake articles of clerkship in 1988. He joined the Solicitor for the Northern Territory in 1989 and rapidly established himself as one of the Northern Territory's leading revenue lawyers. Michael joined the Private Bar in 1994 and was widely recognized and respected for his intellect. He was elected to office as Secretary of the Northern Territory Bar Association. Michael was an accomplished singer, and performed in many productions by the Darwin Chorale and the Darwin Symphony Orchestra. He was also a volunteer with Anglicare Australia. |
