History/Origin Named after Doug Foster who came to the Northern Territory from Brisbane in the 1950's and drove for Kittle Brothers Transport at Tennant Creek and Fleetowners in Alice Springs. Doug won a Churchill Award to go to Canada and study stock transport and is credited with introducing the 'B-Double' concept to Australia. He passed away in 1997.
