| History/Origin |
Guido Zuccoli arrived in Darwin in 1967 and started business in construction and civil engineering. Having obtained his pilots licence in order to traverse the great distances his work took him to in the Territory, he developed an avid interest in aerobatics and the restoration of warbirds (vintage military aircraft). In the 1970s and 80s he competed internationally in aerobatics and went on to establish his aviation engineering business before moving to Toowoomba, Queensland, in 1987. For the next ten years he commuted between Toowoomba and Darwin until his untimely death aged 57 in a plane crash at Tindal, Katherine. |
