| History/Origin |
Named after Trevor John Reid (1939-1989), who was employed by NT Administration and later by the Alice Springs Council as its Superintendent of Parks. He was involved in the construction of this park. He was an excellent sportsperson, playing Australian Rules in the late 1950s and early 1960s and in 1960 he won the Mail Medal for best and fairest. He also played Rugby Lesague and 8 Ball, being selected in both the Northern Territory and Australian Teams for 8 Ball during 1985-87. |
