History/Origin Named after CHRISTINA Gordon, MBE, a pioneer of the Tanami and Pine Creek goldfields, and the West Australian gold rush of the 1890s. At one stage she owned the Victoria Hotel and built the Don Hotel, the Star Pictures and the Rendezvous. She died in Brisbane about 1951 aged 83. A road in Parap is already named Gordon Street after her.
