| History/Origin |
Named after the ship that was wrecked on the Queensland coast on 25 February 1875, on a voyage from Darwin to Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide. Many local people perished. Some of the roads in Coconut Grove commemorate those who did not survive. |
