| History/Origin |
Named after Norris Garrett Bell who was born in Dundee, Scotland in 1860. Bell played an important role as Commissioner for the Commonwealth Railways during the construction of the Oodnadatta-Alice Springs railway in 1927. He retired in 1929. |
