Description
Water Management Zones (WMZ) are specific areas (with defined boundary) within a Water Allocation Plan Area established to manage the impact that may occur from underground water extraction. Rules for each zone are defined in a water allocation plans to determine how water can be used and/or traded.

Data Quality
Lineage:The boundary extent for each of the water management zones were created using ArcGIS software with reference to cadastral boundaries, topographic, hydrogeological, surface water and/or catchment datasets. Information about of each zones are written in each Water Allocation Plan report.
Positional Accuracy:Data stored in geographic coordinates using horizontal datum GDA94. Topological rule state that Water Management Zones must be within Water Allocation Plan areas.
Attribute Accuracy:All polygons attributed using the data dictionary as described below.
NOTE: Water Management Zone status is the same as the Water Allocation Plan status.
Logical Consistency:All polygons are closed and labelled using the prescribed data dictionary .
