| History/Origin | George McDill who worked on Cowan's Crown Point Station around the turn of the century was sent down the Finke to near the station's southern boundary to sink a well (1908-9). Whilst in the area McDill explored northward into unclaimed country and happened upon Indinda and Andado swamps where he put down a successful well on the northeast edge of Indinda Swamp. He returned to Oodnadatta, contacted his brother, and they both returned to establish Andado Station. |
