| History/Origin |
Possiblly named after the creek on which they are situated, although the creek was originally named Mackay Creek as shown in Diagram book 3/112 from the original Goyder survey. Later on when the Hundred Plans were prepared, the name of the creek became Florence Creek, so it is possible that the creek was named after the falls or vice versa. The aboriginal name for the feature is 'Karrimurri'. |
