| History/Origin | In SAPP 111 of 1890 "Journal of Mr W H Tietkens' Central Australian Exploring Expedition" Tietkens wrote: "Tuesday, July 23rd. - .. I learned from Mr Warburton .... that the highest point in the Basedow Range is known as Mount Ebenezer, having been so named in memory of the late Mr E Flint, of the Alice Springs Telegraph Station." This range of which Mount Ebenezer is part is situated NE of Mount Conner. Ebenezer Flint of the Overland Telegraph Line died in 1887. |
