| History/Origin |
Charles Winnecke erected a trig station on Mt Johns on 2 Febuary 1878. The trig was apparently named by Winnecke after the young Edwin Johns who was a Telegrpah Operator on the Overland Telegraph Line at Alice Springs in 1877, later at Daly Waters and Darwin. |
