| History/Origin |
The name given to the area of land, a narrow strip, which lies between the sources of Ludmilla Creek and Sadgroves Creek and has appeared as such on early plans of Darwin. The name was retained when the area of land south of the RAAF Base was subdivided in 1960. It was the natural neck of land used as a block to check entry into the peninsula area of Darwin during the Second World War. |
