Named in commemoration of Ronald Arthur Staines (1927-1995) Plasterer/Builder who contributed greatly through the building trade to the development of Darwin during the 1960s and 1970s and Miriam Josephine Staines (1932-1994) a quiet achiever in her work for the community through caring for underpriviledged children; both Ronald and Miriam loved the outdoor life, in particular fishing and tennis. |
