History/Origin	In 2005, Cabinet approved the division of the Northern Territory into Regions and sub-regions for the consistent collection of Government statistical data. The Darwin Region takes in the Tiwi, Darwin, Palmerston, West Arnhem, Litchfield, Alligator, Finniss and Daly Sub-regions. The boundaries of Regions and Sub-Regions are deliniated on CP 5045 and CP5046 respectively.
