| History/Origin |
Named after Robyn Lesley (11/07/1947 - 1/08/2014). Robyn was born in New South Wales in 1947 and came to Darwin in 1972. A former Alderman for City of Darwin council, she was passionate about diversity, community development, town planning, the Arts and multiculturalism. Robyn served the City of Darwin community for over 20 years in management roles and as a volunteer in a variety of community organisations. Her outstanding contribution was recognised and honoured with life memberships from the RSPCA, Life Education Centres and Darwin Family Centres. In 2010 she accepted the role of Executive Director for Council of the Ageing NT (COTA-NT). |
