Named after Robert Henry Edmunds (1834 - 1917) who was a prominent surveyor connected with original surveys and explorations at Escape Cliffs and Adam Bay in 1864-7. Edmunds layed out the town of Escape Cliffs and was involved in the McKinlay exploration to the Alligator Rivers. |
