| History/Origin | Named by Minister on the recommendation of the Place Names Committee in June 1989, upon the request of the Mines and Energy Dept who were carrying out a geological survey of area and need a name to describe the area. Costello Range commemorates John Costello and family who held "Valley of the Springs" station on the Limmen Bight River in the 1870/80s. They abandoned the station in 1890 and moved to Lake Nash. |
