| History/Origin |
Named after Thomas (Tom) Calma who was born in Darwin in 1924. He started work with the NT Administration in 1948, and in 1951 joined the Department of Works and Housing. He was employed at the Works Depot at the two and a half mile (the site of this development) for 20 years. He retired as Acting District Manager in 1979 and died in the Darwin Hospital in September 1979. |
