| History/Origin | Named after Neville Skewes (1921-1995) who was an early land developer and businessman in the Humpty Doo area. Skewes moved to Humpty Doo in 1967 and built and opened the Humpty Doo store in 1968. In 1971 he built the Humpty Doo Hotel, which he operated for 9 years. Skewes carried out many of the first 5 acre (8 ha) subdivisions in the Humpty Doo area. |
